Uggggghhhhhh.

Came home and had a STUPID argument with Mat about shoes. STUPID! I bought those black boots the other day and ever since I started wearing them I’ve had so much more confidence in the way I look. Apart from this new pair, I don’t own a single pair of heels, it’s all just pairs of Converse. I finally feel more feminine and I feel like my outfits coordinate better.

I came home and asked him if I could buy another pair in a different colour, so I can wear this sort of thing more often, but  not have to wear one pair every single day. He started saying how he only has one pair in the entire world that he has to wear every day. Technically, that’s not true. He has two other pairs of shoes, the only reason he wears one pair every day is that they are his work shoes, and he goes to work every day. Then he started going on about how incredibly beaten up his "only pair" were, and I got annoyed, because they had a fault with them and I had told him to take them back months ago.

The company he bought them from are owned my the corporation I work for so I knew they would just replace them with a brand new pair. But Mat completely ignored my advice, and now it’s too late to return them. And to be honest, they’re a bit tatty, but he’s only had them for a few months, and most of the Converse I was wearing I’d had over a year and they all had massive holes covering them that let all the rain in. 

And it’s not like we couldn’t BOTH afford new shoes, we have the money. I was just annoyed that I asked him a question in regards to me and he made it all about him. He seemed quite enraged I’d bought even this pair of boots even though I asked him first and he said yes. And he also got a brand new android phone recently so it’s not as if he’s going without nice things!

It’s such a dumb argument! The whole thing is ridiculous, but he got so angry and wound up about it he went to bed at 8.30 in a sulk. Now I’m just sat here awkwardly silent because it’s a studio apartment so we’re technically still in the same room.

FFS THIS IS SO GAY. I really can’t be bothered with people who run away and sulk, it’s not productive and doesn’t solve the issue or even placate anyone. It just leaves tension and confusion. THIS IS STUUUUUPIIIIIDDD! I don’t even care about the shoes! But as soon as people start stomping around, throwing things and sulking, I just shut down. I don’t tolerate behaviour like that, so now I think Mat is waiting for me to go up there and be nice to him, but with his attitude, that ain’t gonna happen!

I bet I sound like a well harsh shoe-buying bitch. Eh.
