Creative Times! (pics too!)
This week has indeed been very creative!
First, I was inspired by this:
(cookie dough bowls)
So I decided to make my own…:
And fill them with whipped double cream, bananas and chocolate shavings…:
They were very delicious, but the cookie was a little tough. Too much flour I reckon. Recipe here.
THEN, I found a box of old bandanas at work and was inspired to make pillows from them!
I don’t have a sewing machine so these babies were HANDSEWN. It took me a day and a half. Because I am a crazy person.
That white frame took the most sewing of all, stupid thick canvas tape! Cute horn sew-on buttons for the cover opening…:
Very pleased. Nice to have more pillows on the sofa, and I got plenty more bandanas for follow up beauties!
And finally today, my friend posted an INSANELY easy recipe for nutella brownies, and let’s face it, it needed to be tried IMMEDIATELY. I ran out to buy nutella, and half an hour later….:
NOM!
This recipe has THREE ingredients if you don’t put nuts in (which I didn’t – Mat hates them). All you need is 1/2 cup nutella spread, 1 large egg and 5 tbsp flour. Recipe is here for anyone interested. The only thing worth noting is it says it makes 12 but it only makes 6.
And this has been my creative week. I’ve also been doing the ‘draining’ task of drawing all week at work – this time illustrating the SS13 men’s outfits. I’d post them here but it’s totally not allowed, so you will just have to imagine beautiful pencil drawings of rugged men wearing jeans and things.
