The Road to Linkin Park!

Heya Dudes and Dudettes!

Well as I said in the last blog I wrote on myspace http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=58101618

The anticipated trip to Melbourne with Emma to see Linkin Park ended up being more than I could ever hope it would be! Life is wonderful, and the one thing that keeps us all sane and united is “music”. I have loved this band from the moment I first heard them back in the early 90’s, and to FINALLY see them live meant I would go to ANY lengths to see them!

One night on the “juice”, All of our mates were over and we were surfing the net for music. While doing that, an advert came up on the tube for the Linkin Park concert in Melbourne. The only ones that went “ape” were Emma (aka Aunty) and I, and after a short begging session to my beautiful better half Anni, I paid for the two tickets on her credit card. It seemed like forever that the weekend actually came around, however I can assure you all, it was well worth the wait!

We left early, around nine am for the seven hour drive from Canberra to Melbourne, and the idea was to meet up with Hadgie, in the outskirts of Melbourne and stay with her. We anticipated each and every kilometre along the way, growing more and MORE excited as the hours drew on. Plans were made as to our arrival, the time to spend before the gig, and the “brewskies” or rather (beers) we were going to consume when we got there. Well, I got to tell yawl lol! After getting lost on the way in, actually nearly an hour “lost”, the beer flowed VEEEEEEERY nicely lol!

Poor Ani had to stay behind and look after all the groms, and I felt bad, but Em told me to try and enjoy myself and I’m glad I listened to her! The girls are Melbourne freaks and they took me to a few of the wildest clubs and bars the city has to offer. I’ve made a slide below “somewhere” of the pics I took along the way during the night. Some are obscure, but hey, I was snap happy ok lol! I was litterally SO drunk I HAD to go to sleep. So, after a feed at hungry jacks around one am, we called it quites.

As I said before, Em and I were going nuts counting down the miles to our destination. So, as a result, we made the MAD vid of us doing this little ritual every time we passed a sign that told us how many more miles we had to go. Its fucked up I know, but shit I cack myself everytime I watch it! LMMFAO!!!!! Location jokje, ya had to be there! Here it is:

Ok, so as you can see, we were becoming delusional lol! The next vid/slide is a look at the pics I took of one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Honestly, there just wasn’t enough time to take it all in, what with the two girls a hundred paces in front of me shouting “comon tourist” FUKIN BYATCHES!!!!! Lol, all in good fun huh! However, to set the scene, we headed out after freshening up and explored the nite life of Melbourne.

At the end of the day the whole trip was nothing short of wonderful! I got pissed, met up with a few online friends, stayed with one of my closest mates, and got to see the band of the century! In addition to that, I had the most wickid road trip with Aunty! So, in closing, heres a few vids from the band I love and know, hope you enjoyed the blog as much as I enjoyed runnin on down the memories of the last few days!

I Love You Guys!
