I’m Gone for Five Minutes and………….

Holy Snappin Duckshit!!!!!!!!

I lose all my internet for a few months and when I get back everything has changed!
/>

/>
Hello to Everyone :)))))))
/>

/>
I don’t even have the slightest idea of how long I have been off line, but I think it would probably be around three or four months or so. The reason, well my stubborn attitude to the companies that control this thing pissed me off in a way that can only be described as “nasty”. I’m not sure how the rest of you guys in the States get your service, but I do know that it is a hell of a lot faster than the crap we have here in Oz. It is well known that Australia has the slowest internet on the planet, second only to the bottom of the ocean which has none! In addition to this, you have to pay through the nose to get a faster broadband, only to find after you signed all the contracts for a two year period, that the area you live in has less coverage than the suburb two miles away. Yes Mr McCoy, it will cost you the same, but the service you you now have will give you excellent tech support! Great if you like hanging on the phone for over an hour on hold, then have the privilidge of talking to a consultant in MUMBAI!!!!!!!!!
/>

/>
As a concequence, I decided NOT to pay for the service that I never recieved (the isp will remain unmentioned), only to then have my home phone, foxtel and the internet disconnected within a heartbeat, leaving us with no telecommunication whatso ever! “Pay your bill and you will be connected”, to what I said, a service that I never recieved in the first place. Cause like the smart ass I am, I rolled all our connections into a bundle acount to save money, not realising that the shit heads would turn the whole fucking lot off!! Ahhhhhhh, the serenity of it all! I have to say, I actually enjoyed the silence for a while huh! Ummmm, but then the cricket season started and I….. well I needed foxtel did’nt I, to watch the cricket which is no longer televised on free to air tv anymore! Except for the twenty20 and a few one day tests, foxtel have the rights to the whole lot GRRRRRR!!!!! So, I paid the bill………It hurt guys, it hurt like a bitch having to do it, but at least the foxtel and home phone were put back on, but NOT the internet! There is something that happens when you are diconnected for a period of time, all your setting change and you have to reset the router to recieve the signal from your isp. The plot now thickens my friends!

Some time ago, Ani and I discovered that we were losing our internet to a thief! Yes, some little snot nosed anal wort was stealing our internet through wireless access. We, as the honest citizens we are, had no firewall or security on our wireless connection, so as a result, a (as before mentioned) butt crusted hampster penis in the neighborhood was using our net. As it turned out, Ani had a work mate who’s boyfriend worked for the dept of defence. He offered to come over and reset the whole house network and up our security to MAXIMOSO! So to speak. Hehe I thought, that’l stop the little asshole! Well yes it did, and it worked wonderfully till we lost our service. Then we tried to contact this friend of Ani’s workmate, only to find that they had split up and he would’nt do a damn thing for us! Once again, I in all my infinate wisdom chose not to write all the codes down and therefore left us with the predicament of trying to work out the meaning of life with half a brain, get the picture guys, YA CAN”T DO IT! So, four odd months down the track, a lot less in the bank acount and a new isp, new modem and computers, we are back on line, and I have my cricket!

On a happier note, it’s amazing how fast your kids grow up! Tai is now heading onto eight months, eats, shits and screams, but looks more like me every day. Just befor christmas, actually on the 24th of December, I had to take a leave of absence from work. We were unable to procure child care for Tai and as Ani was going back to work at that time, we had no choice but for me to become a stay at home dad. I know I told you guys about that previously, but lets just say that it nearly killed me. I love my kids, but I now have an even stronger love for the women of this planet who do that job every single day! It’s hard, but it’s harder to get used to when you realise that you no longer have all your mates. I missed work, I missed the blokes, I missed the money I was losing, and I missed the simple interaction that you have with all around you. It is stressful, unrewarding, and unforgiving. Ani and I were suffering in our relationship with eachother and we were no where near as intimat as we used to be. In the end, we had no choice but to borrow money from her parents to see us through, something my Ani is imbarressed to do, she’s too proud for that. We did though and it allowed us to get our feet firmly planted again, and in the mean time news came to us that a home care mother was moving from far north Queensland to Canberra and was looking for children to care.

Needless to say I went back to work, slipped right in just in time before I needed to resign, and hav’nt looked back. I have a wonderful boss! Our company will not support a leave of abcence, however he allowed my possition to remain open until March of this new year, I made the return just two weeks before that date, and he moved heaven and earth to make it happen. Guys, do you know what it is like to have a person of authority have so much respect for you that they would put money on your return in a casino? So something went well and it restored my belief in humanity to an extent lol. Something else that has been a huge surprise is that I have formed another band right here in Canberra! Yup, I know, I thought it would never happen, but it has! Actually, I should’nt be so bold as to say I formed it, Ben and Andrew have been playing together for about five years now and I sort of moved in on the act 😛 We are called Elysium Influences and our sound is that of “Tool”, “Pantera” and “Rage Against the Machine”. It’s more melodic than my days with Darkshot, , but no less heavy and hard core. I am now in the process of building a MySpace page for the band and once it is all up and running I will let you guys know where to find it. We only have two songs under our belt at this stage, but we jam twice a week and I’m trying hard to get onto all my old contacts to record a quality ep this time round.
/>

/>
I asked Ani to marry me finally, and as it turns out the ring gives her a rash on her ring finger lol! Maybe thats a bad omen huh! No, it’s not a cheap ass ring, it’s just that it has an opening under it that seems to allow moisture to build up underneath. None the less we plan to have a long engagement at this stage and when we do tie the knot it will be on a beach at sunset! We have an opportunity to buy the house we live in too. It’s going to take a bit of belt tightening, but if it is at all possible we are going for it. Krystelle and Tabby are heading back to their mothers for easter soon, thats going to leave the house a little less loud lol!
/>

/>
I’m hoping that all you guys (well the ones who get to read this anyway) are all well and loving life! Lets hope I can stick around for a while this time!

Much Love,
