A Day, a Moment, that Makes Me Smile.
Hello Beautiful Ones!

/>
Have to tell you all, I kinda feel a little………, well happy and enlightened I guess. There is no real reason for it, no winnings of the lotto and no promotions in the wings. Ani and I are no closer to buying a house of our own and we still can’t afford for me to buy that 106cm plasma television. No………., matters of the heart are making me feel like I have it all! I just read a message from Tina, most of you (if not all) would know her too, and lets just say that it was so long ago I don’t remember when we became friends. In the last few days we have been sending texts back and forth, nothing too out of the box, just your small talk and wishfull thinking messages ya know! Thing is, I sent her a message yesterday saying something along the lines of “was thinking of popping over for a chardi tommorrow”, she sent one back saying “yeah, come on over Bub”. Now there is one thing that kinda makes this all a bit of wishfull thinking, and that is that there is a half of the globe seperating us from doing that! Still though, it really made me smile to read it.

The thing is, aint it awesome to be able to have friends so far away. I know if there was any chance in hell Ani and I will meet her and Jack and I am certain, really hit it off, but by the same token we are mates and if we never meet we still know each other like family. Did any of you realise that the friends you have made all over the world actually talk about you? Well we all do! Do you realise that you come up in conversation at times? Well you do! I have been lucky enough to meet a couple of my online mates. Nurse Vee and of course my Bella Lauren are now very good mates and we try to catch up at least a few times a year. The beauty of that is though that we are only actually seven hours drive from them. The point though, I think I’m getting old, in a good way!

When you get older you find things a lot easier to see, there is’nt all the fog that surrounds your judgement when you are young. You find the right woman or man, and suddenly that sunday morning reading the paper listening to the sport on a trasister radio really excites you! I guess like I have said so many times before, “it’s the little things in life that are the best”. The other thing , if you have kids later in your life, is that you tend to see them grow up. Tai is what I am refering to. See, I now find that I have time to spend with my child as he grows up and certainly SEE him evolve. I have one complaint, small as it may be, it is a complaint non the less. I would think that since he is my only born blood son, that he would at least have the common decency to say “Daddy” first! Nup, being my son has cursed him, he has the instilled gene to go against the grain and be nothing like he is expected to be. His first words are not Daddy, no, in fact they are ringing through my very soul! It starts as “mum”, then quite rapidly moving like this “mum, mum, mum”. “mum, Mum, MUm, MUM”, “MUM, MUM, MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMM”. Well…….. at any rate the boy can speak huh 😛

At the end of the day life is what we make of it, it’s about the people we surround ourselves with, the joy we find in family, and most of all, it’s about the little things that people say that make us smile and remember a certain feeling in time. Call it dejarvue, but there is something wonderful about the way the light and temperature of a certain morning reminds you of the breakfast you had each morning with your Nan at her back verandah each weekend. Or maybe that at the certain moment you read a message from a friend on your phone that for some reason makes you warm and for no aparent reason at all, reminds you of a happy time in the past!

awww that is sweet. What an enlightening entry 🙂 My dream was so real. We were saying…wow I can’t believe that we are all here, hanging out drinking wine, talking. The other thing in my dream is that we were all hitting it off together and I said to you, see, we have always been friends 🙂 We WILL meet, we need to finish our house first, move in, in August (hopefully) and work hard and get debt free….then, once the economy gets better, it will happen. We have a few other people in different parts of OZ that we will visit. I want to go to the Gold Coast (after seeing so many pictures from you) But we will come and see you guys. PROMISE! I talked about you to Jack the other night and he was like , how is Luke? I like your saying, but here is mine…”Life’s good…..stay young and enjoy it” lol Krystal looks so grown up….tell her hello for me 🙂 Love you lots! XXX
