I got in trouble today… :(

When I came into work I have discovered that the walk-in had broke, yet again, so stuff was shoved into the Matches fridge.

Me –> “Oh boy, today’s gonna be fun.”

Well I had to stock the break room – since no one else does….. Plus I stocked all of the odds and end for Matches as well.

At seven I finally got set to work on polishing silverware. And I also got my first guest.

Soon it was as if everyone miraculously decided that they were going to eat breakfast. I didn’t even have any walk outs because of the partial menu. That was fine though.

Until the point where I had two tables and some guys sitting at the bar; I was running around like crazy, but I was still okay.   At that point I had two couples sit down.

That is when Chris walked in. I thought it was great because usually he’s not around when I do need him.

Still I was fine, and everyone was happy. I was courteous and such… like I HAVE too.

Well after a few of the tables left I now had dirty tables, which is a no-no. As I’m trying to clear these tables, a few guys came in from the course to get drinks from me; since they had a tab… or rather I had the card.

In any case, I’m pretty much out of steam at this point, and I’m trying to hurry so I can get back to clearing. They get some drinks and I proceed to get the stuff to make them.

I placed the orange juice on the shelf the bottles (of alcohol) are placed, and apparently it said no, because it jumped off my head and on to the floor spilling most of its contents.

Me –> ::*Snap*, clench, continue drink making::

And then, of course, Chris walks in. At this time the guys that I’m making these drinks for are now making fun of me and saying I’m miserable. Well yeah, if orange juice jumped off your head and spilled every where you would be too. So Chris over hears this, and one of the guys telling me to smile, and so he wrote me up.

Keep in mind I had been running around for four hours straight and there was the orange juice. Needless to say I was pretty frustrated.

So in his write-up slip, it said that was very rude, and that I was slamming things around. He also said I refused to say for help, even though he walked in when I did need him… (Can someone explain this to me?) Plus he had to mention the whole guy telling me to smile. If he had been there to see the events unfold he might have thought a little differently.  So he brings me in the office and says, “Here, read this.”

And I’m supposed to act how now? Angelo was there too and I completely broke down and started crying and couldn’t stop because of the stress… When I said I was gonna write out my side of the story, Angelo asked if I was going to verbalize it. I was at a higher breaking point then before so I said no.

Chris just left me there, and Angelo started in on me and so I told him everything, saying that it sucks that he only walks in to Matches, to just miss certain events so they seem a different way.  It’s like this, either I flip on the customer making fun of me, or I grit my teeth.  Well apparently I’m supposed to smile at all costs. Have you ever seen a smile through grit teeth? It’s not pretty.

*sigh* Well at least Angelo understands that the morning is really stressful on one person. When it gets crazy, usually I can handle myself better than that it was just they were laughing at me… and I was stressed. I’m a fucking FEMALE!

Anyway… that’s all for today.
