Hell Dancing on my Arm
I kind of like that title. Lol.
The reason for the title is because I burnt myself today at work. Go figure the one day I decide not to slack I end up burning the hell out of my arm.
Our resent uniform shirt upgrades, we got huge shirts with long sleeves. (These are only for winter. Too bad winter is already half over!) I was cleaning out our soda spray nozzle and to do that you need really hot water. We get that with our coffee machine. (It has a water spout) I was taking the nozzle head cup when the hot water bucket was tipped over. The genius that I am, decided I would try and grab that bucket that I knew has boiling water in it.
The water got mainly the lower sleeve of my shirt which now clung to my arm.
It felt like fire was dancing on my arm and I could only think of getting my sleeve off of my obvious burn. It was painful but I was able to be quiet and not scream at the top of my lungs. Instead, i ran my arm under warm water and nursed it with and ice cube. Then I had the stinging to a minimal and decided to go find some burn cream.
Low and behold every one was in the hallway gabbing away. So i cut in with,
"Does anyone know where I can get some burn cream?"
Then everyone looked at it and oohed and awed. And I got some burn spray.
Soon there was no pain. Also as an added bonus I got to leave work early, even though I was the only person working in Matches.
Yay for me.
But to think I was actually doing a good thing by sanitizing the soda nozzle and I get burnt with fury.
It’s just not right.
It seems as though the blisters are getting bigger as the day goes on.
Which probably isn’t a good sign.
I know I need to cover it before bed and keep infection out.
yeah…
I love you all (Louie I love the most, out of everyone!)
