~Been Working~

It was a long week but we actually made some service.

The whole jist of the week was boring. However since there is only 31 days until the golf season opens up, there have been a bunch of people showing up.

Soo, I have made a few bucks this week. Last night, Friday, we had our "special" dinner.

That was hell. Chef, Mario, and Grahm were the only guys working upstairs (Where all of our specials were to be made) and only my father, downstairs to cook anything ordered off the regular menu.
While we had a special dinner downstairs, upstairs was a member wine dinner. So all of the cooks had plenty on their plates.

We had only two reservations but one was a res. for 10 and the other a res. for 8. Which meant that we would have to set the tables up special for them.

The 10 top, Grham’s family (Megan’s Boyfriend), ordered all of their entrees off the special menu and so since they were so busy upstairs they had to stall this table.
First they all got some apps., on the house. and then after an hour, they got salads, on the house. This was all the effort to stall this family.

Then the table of 8 came in and sat. They ordered soups and so they didn’t have as long to wait. Also they had half of the entrees from the regular menu.

The table for eight was taken by me. I was already aware that it was a birthday dinner for the dad of a bride to be (getting married on our lot). So that meant they got special treatment and got a free dessert.

No one knew weather or not Chef knew or had any thing prepared for it. So when my table actually asked for dessert I couldn’t give then an answer and told them I was going to find out what was going on for dessert.

When I came back I was able to give a piece of turtle cheesecake for the birthday boy and a platter of pastries for the rest of the party.

They loved it. The dinner was supposed to end at eight and instead it ended at nine when everyone had finally left.

But all in all it was okay. I had something to do, and I made enough money to get dog food. lol
