Still Here

Last night I sat and listened to Lindsey Graham and Rand Paul say things I never thought I’d hear. Everyone has a line. Mike Pence has a line. Mitch McConnell has a line.

Our enemies try to spin this as an embarrassment. tRump tells the knuckle-dragging mouth breathers “We love you”. These were not Patriots, and I don’t want to hear some of them were veterans. It’s not relevant.  When you raise your hand to serve your country you protect and defend the constitution, all of it. If you are busting down a door to prevent the execution of our processes you have forgotten your sworn duty and you are a traitor. The constitution works. Democracy works. Nobody said it was going to be pretty but we’re still here. You can’t dress up like a cartoon animal and disrupt the legal processes of our Country’s business. Destroying things and throwing a tantrum on the behalf of a deranged wannabe despot with no long term plan for anything isn’t even a movement. It’s childish nonsense. Waving the stars and bars and leaving notes that you’ll be back and going on tv and owning your broken toy antics was helpful but be warned if you try it again you’ll get more of what you already got.

“But the riots this summer”…and there were people arrested for that too. Nobody gets a free pass. The gang members and anarchists disrupting peaceful protests last summer are no more representations of the Democratic party than these racist asshats who wrapped themselves in US Flags with blue stripes as they fought the police represent most Republicans. Get yourself right. There are no excuses.
