2/18/2020 My story
I’m super fat and out of shape and I just want to be thin again. It is to the point that I don’t even care how I get thin again, as long as I get there.
My health is not the best. My kidneys are damaged, my cholesterol is high, I have diabetes, I have hypothyroidism, I have insomnia, both my ankles are in agony all the time because I am so heavy. I found out I have arthritis in both feet, and to top it off I am sick right now with something nasty in my chest- I’m coughing all the time and my chest is tight and I have a sore throat.
My mental health is shit. I am bi-polar, I have ptsd and I am depressed and too many other things to even try to list.
My fitness is horrible, I have no stamina, no strength.
I drink too much pop, I don’t eat enough healthy foods.
Even though it is really difficult I am posting my starting measurements. This is humiliating.
I was 280 pounds at my heaviest. I lost down to 250 and took my stats which are:
Start date 3/19/19 250 pounds
Measurements: Neck : 15 inches
Bust : 49 inches
Chest: 39 inches
Waist: 46 inches
Hips: 54 ½ inches
Thighs: 31 inches
Calves: 19 inches
Ankles: 9 ½ inches
5 foot 5 inches tall
250 pounds
BMI: 41.6
Size 22 jeans
I struggled with my weight all of my teenage years after being abused all of my young life. I lost weight when I was a young adult and I lost weight to be 130 pounds and so tiny, I wore a 27 inch waist jeans. I miss those days. I didn’t eat much but it was worth it to be in small clothes. Then I got pregnant and my weight crept up with each pregnancy. And continued to creep up over the years until I this monstrous size now.
I have an exercise bike and an elliptical.
I live in the country on 50 acres with chickens and we are putting in an orchard this year and trying to start a garden and raising rabbits too. We have a lot of clearing of trees and debris from previous owners to do this year and I have too much to do and too much I want to accomplish to be this fat.
So after years of struggling with my weight and it continuing to just climb and climb I am going to look for support online and try to lose the weight.
My new stats compared to my old ones:
Measurements: 3/19/2019 / 2/12/2020
Neck : 15 inches / 14 inches
Bust : 49 inches / 44 inches
Chest: 39 inches / 38 inches
Waist: 46 inches / 41.5 inches
Hips: 54 ½ inches / 44 inches
Thighs: 31 inches / 28.5 inches
Calves: 19 inches / 19 inches
Ankles: 9 ½ inches / 9.5 inches
5 foot 5 inches tall / 5 foot 5 inches tall
250 pounds / 229 pounds
BMI: 41.6 / 38.1
Size 22 jeans / Size 16 jeans
So that’s a small starting story about me.
It’s great that you are here, logging your journey! I have total respect for what you are doing, every change, large or small, will be a positive one 🙂

awesome for losing 30lbs already! You’re on your way! <3 Isn’t it crazy how kids change everything? I too have weight I’d like to lose after having my 3 kids! Seem to keep gaining rather than losing though so you’re doing better than I am!
@pretty_when_crying Thanks!!

Random reader here….I use to weigh over 200 pounds also and then I heard about weight watchers. Although it does cost money you do get constant support and they have tools t that you can use. I have lost at one point more then 80 pounds and was below my goal weight. And after you get to your goal weight there is 6 weeks of maintenance and then you can go to the meetings for free. This program is based on science not starvation……They have work shops and meetings all over the world. And also they also allow you to eat everything in moderation and you don’t have to give up anything you love or crave.

Check them and who knows maybe you will like them enough to join….
I also found that when I lost all my weight two of my medications I stopped taking……
@jaythesmartone Thank you for the link and the info!

You’ve already lost a chunk, CONGRATS! I might get on some folks’ nerves with this but I DO have to suggest getting on Weightwatchers… just because it’s working for me. And I started at heavier than you. In 8 months I’ve lost 50 lbs, and what I love is that it teaches you a different relationship with food – now, that’s THEIR part… yours has to be your iron will to follow through. Meetings help in that you have a third party to hold you accountable, somehow… I attend some, generally when I feel like I’m going to give into that one scoop of ice cream I shouldn’t have.
Above all, don’t beat yourself up. You’re walking the right path and you’re making progress!! 😀
