Performance etiquette

This is performance etiquette for my dance school for all of us dancers:

1. Always be prompt for the show and rehearsals

2. Come prepared to work. Warm up

3. Practice your part of the dance when not on stage

4. Don’t leave unless told by director

5. Cooperate with all cast & crew members. There are no divas in a show

6. accept criticism cheerfully

7. Allow the director to direct

8. Avoid a display of temprament, be patient and pleasant

9. Be quiet in the wings, on the steps and in line

10. Be ready for entrances

11. Remain in character when on stage. Never break and laugh

12. Never appear in makeup or costume except backstage and onstage. It breaks the illusion for the audience and is extremely unprofessional

13. don’t touch lights or props

14. When entering the theatre, leave personal problems behind

15. do your best for each audience

16. don’t peek through the curtain
