My History class is soooo hard

My African American history class is soooo hard. I can’t understand the material and It’s going too fast. The class is all Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. I am the only freshman in the class. I am discouraged and i feel like I am not learning anything. Should I withdraw or drop the class?
