Girl Scout camp memories

I just found a memory book that I bought at Girl Scout Camp in 2000. It’s called a Camp Journal. Girl Scout camp was so fun. It had different programs. My program was called In The Dark. It was a photography camp. I was one of 7 girls in the program. We shared a cabin unit with Brownies. Our cabin unit was called Sky High. I went to Camp Narrin, if you all are girl Scouts. This was our schedule:

8:00 AM- wake up and get ready

9:15 AM- breakfast

10:00-12:30-swimming, group activity, arts and crafts, or whatever.

12:30- Lunch

1:30-2:30- rest hour

2:30-6:oo- do activities

6-7- Dinner

7-8 PM chill

9:00-campfires, or socialize

10:30- Prepare for bed

11:00- good night!

I really enjoyed the Ms. Narrin contest at the end of camp. All the counselors went up at breakfast in the dining room, and us campers would vote on who would be Ms. Narrin. I also liked the closing campfire, when all us campers would do skits for the rest of the camp. At the end of camp, the Counselors and CIT’s would sing “On My Honor”, a girl scout song. me and the rest of my group did a thing about Pop stars and photographers. The brownies sung the Brownie Smile song. Some people cried when the counselors and CIT’s sung On my Honor. One of my camp buddies cried when they sung that, and the rest of us gave her a group hug.
