online romance?

As i stated in my 1st entry here, i’ve joined a few dating sites over the past 3 months – i guess thats what busy people do nowadays lol it was convenient and could easily weed out what i wasnt looking for so i thought.

so i went out on a couple of dates, which is kinda akward at first. maybe its just me, but the pressure of first dates, especially with someone you started off talking to online, kinda feels like a job interview sometimes haha.

well anyway the few dates i did have turned out to be a disaster, little cynical about finding anything worthwhile after one guy i met told me he wasnt comfortable talking to me anymore because i brought up politics? i thought that was odd.

but 2 weeks ago i met a really nice guy named marc, he sent me a message on the dating site and we talked for about an hour online, then on phone for 3 hours! hes 26, white guy, 6ft, brown hair, green eyes, works for the church, director for community outreach center, similar taste in music, never married, no kids,  we would talk on the phone until 4-5 am a few times, we just really seemed to click. but i was worried that we wouldnt *click* in person, anyway he lives downtown and we decided to meet for lunch near his place at a mex restaurant.

It was like i was worrying for nothing, everything turned out fine. he is like, everything i would want for a potential mate ya know? there was definitely a connection between us. even so on our 2nd meeting, and 3rd last nite=)

but there is one thing about marc that is completely different from what im used to dating, he is a virgin. not to say being a virgin is a negative, i find it refreshing that i dont have to worry about a guy just wanting to lay me.

he actually wants to get to know me and not for the wrong reasons ya know?this is just new to me, he is a very spiritual person and i believe he is waiting for marriage to have sex, so I dont know how i feel about that lol. he goes to church every sunday, reads bible often, even teaches sunday class for kids.

which is the opposite of me, i havent been inside a church in 9 years, and that was for a wedding lol.
not religious, but i do believe in god-

i usually have the option of being intimate, with him i dont have that option, sure we’ve made out plenty on the 2nd and 3rd meeting but thats where it usually stops. I really do like him, and sex isnt the most important thing, but it wouldve been nice to have that option ya know?lol.. i love sex, but i dont need to have it.

but yeah i REALLY like him and he feels the same, but we’re just taking it slow for now-  we’re going out friday night, bowling probably, should be cool. he called me this morning when he was leaving for work….
