another evaluation

I had a meeting at my sons school today, the topic at hand was speech services. which he desperately needs, one thing his teacher and I agree on –

So now he will be getting speech twice a week at school, im happy with that.. he’s also getting occupational therapy once a week.

I’m in the middle of looking for a speech therapist outside of school that may be able to work with him a couple of times a month.

I dont know.. i just feel like hes turning 7 soon and hes so far behind in alot of areas, anything helps ya know?

Im kindof beating myself up for not getting help soon enough, just alot of what ifs. had i been more agressive in making changes early on maybe things couldve been different.  =/ *sigh*

i’ve just been at home mostly today, havent been feeling well. i havent heard from Drago since he called me this morning…and I just ran out of text messages, i text more than i talk on the phone it seems like..

so much for the unlimited plan..

*next subject*

I keep getting advertisements in the mail from *lawyers*  ever since i got that speeding ticket, gawd their like vultures.. i dont plan to pay for that until next week. taking my time, but not too much.. want to get that out of the way..

Hey sweets, don’t beat yourself up. My best friend went through the same thing w/her son. I got to see 1st hand for myself what it was like. I love that boy like my own and it’s hard to face the facts when your told your child is “not like the others”. It was so hard to accept for her at first. But your doing everything you need to be doing so give yourself a big ole pat on da back! ;p

Oh! and another thing, depending on how severe the case is w/your baby boy, he may catch on as soon as they start working w/him. Most autistic kids are EXTREMELY smart. They just have problems communicating what’s in there heads in to words or actions. Keep ya head up girl! You’re doing ‘ery thing your supposed to be doing.
