Through The Woods

On my way to work today in The Woods, after not sleeping more than 2 hours last night, I passed a squirrel dead on the side of the road.  It was obviously just hit, and wasn’t squished, but definitely dead.  There was another squirrel, a live one, standing next to it, and I swear the look on this second squirrel was heartbreaking!  It looked sad! 

Figures, the one morning in months I had time to put on make up (since I’ve been up since 2:30am) and a couple of squirrels make me cry on the way to work.
