NoJoMo 2 – Twitchet and Ipsicle

Is it cheating to write an entry about my NaNo novel?  Hope not, because here it is. 

Giving almost nothing of the plot away, there are fairies.  They are peanut sized, live in soccer ball sized houses, and don’t speak, but communicate more in gestures, lights (they kinda glow) and a bell like sound that their wings make.  There’s Twitchet, who’s a lightning fairy, and Ipsicle who’s a snow fairy.  Twitchet is very animated and enjoys swinging from the main character’s ear lobes and bouncing on his nose.  Ipsicle is much quieter, she likes to dance and twirl with the snow flakes, and is responsible for guiding them into wind gusts to swirl.

The work for the Council of Elements.  The women counsil members are Counsiltresses and the men are Counsiltrems.  Clearly.  *nod nod*

There are quite a few fairies that will appear, but right now it’s really just the two of them, and Spirkety and Flicker, two more lightning fairies.  They’ve only been mentioned though, we haven’t "met" them yet.  We do know that Spirkety flies amazingly fast though.  🙂
