Huh, sleep?

I’m tired.  This always happens when I get some time off from work…I start staying up a few hours later, and sleeping a few hours later.  Mind, I’m not really sleeping a different amount of time, but for some reason, I feel better if I sleep from 2am-10am (8 hours) than if I sleep from 10pm-6am (also 8 hours).  I suppose that usually 10pm is a guestimate, as I usually fall asleep between 10 and 11, and my alarm goes off anywhere from 4:30am-6am depending on whether it’s a gym morning.  Today wasn’t, but it doesn’t matter, because I’m already tired from yesterday.

I swear it takes me forever to catch up on sleep and get back into a normal routine.  Every time I have more time off I tell myself that I’m not going to do this to myself, but inevitably if I’ve actually got time off from work there’s some kind of holiday, and people just schedule things so late in the day for holidays!  NalGenie calls me an "Oldie McOld-old" when I start whining about how tired I am and how late it gets at these family events, but I get cranky when I’m tired!  And cranky+Hurricane+Stormy = migraine.  Fun work day….

Speaking of work, I’ve gotta go get Hurricane up and pick up MommyD for work.  You know, if Slumber Parties works out as well for me as it seems to for everyone else, I’m going to put aside money so I can help her buy a new car, one that isn’t broken all the time.

By the way, to all you CT people, if you wouldn’t mind spreading the word around to your girl friends that I’m a Slumber Parties consultant (and my website is now up, it’s http://www.slumberpartiesbymegl.com) I could really use the extra word-of-mouth marketing!  For that matter, if any of you want to book a party… 🙂
