DPM #6 Sparkling Clean

Amazingly, I’ve had time to clean my house.  I mean, really clean it.  Wash the floors, dust, do all the laundry, all the dishes, clean the bathroom…I may even tackle the rec room this week.  Even steam cleaned the carpets.  The only room that’s still a disaster is the office and well, we need to get some office furniture.

So Friday night the girls came over, we drank, we ate, we drank, we drank, then we had a few drinks (oh, and we ate too), we talked and giggled and lilMeg stayed over and the next morning we made AWESOME pancakes:

1 cup flour, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tbsp white sugar, 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp canola oil, 1 egg, 3/4 cup skim milk, 1/4 cup apple butter, makes about 6 4-5 inch pancakes.  MMMMM!

(you can leave out the canola oil, and add more apple butter instead, you can also sub egg whites for the egg.)

Yesterday we held the TGIO Party for NaNoWriMo at my house (Thank Goodness Its Over! Party) and it was a huge success!  And…my eye for matchmaking seems to still be in tact, because lilMeg, on her way out when she was saying good bye to everyone asked Gadgeteer if he’s seeing anyone and when he said no asked if he’d want to go out sometime and see a movie or something.  WOOT!  Like lilMeg says, they’re going to be just ‘adorakable!’  Tee-hee!

And, for today’s DPM – beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and there are few sights more beautiful than FENWAY PARK!
