What the heck? *edit*
OK, so the manager I normally work with is not that good a manager, I beleive I covered that on more than one occasion. He didn’t get done last night, for the second night in a row, and this time he had a real reason: he had two call-ins and one no-show on his side of the store, but once again he blames the schedules, which means I get hauled into the office to explain why I hired this new guy (which I didn’t) who can’t work weekends (he has full availability). I told her I didin’t hire him, he can work weekends, but based on the grid schedule I showed her he fell into weekends off.
Then she goes off on me about the grid schedule has a lot of people (two) who we don’t actually have yet and why did I do that? I was going to explain that we had those two on the way in but one of them failed his drug test and the other one had warrants out for her, so they never got all the way through the hiring process but it wouldn’t have done any good.
So now I have to re-do the entire damned schedule again, just so he won’t have any excuses in the future. And of course it was my fault he didn’t get done, I set him up to fail you see. Just by giving that one guy weekends off (and this was only his sixth day of work, so he’s only had one Saturday off) I set my alleged partner up to fail.
Whatever.
OK, done. It only took ten minutes but it’s the principle of the thing. What I just did in ten minutes he can’t do in ten days, it’s completely beyond his comprehension. So now on Saturday and Sunday instead of having 7 people (one more than you need to give one person one task and be done with it) he’ll have 10. I’ll bet you he *still* doesn’t get done.
Because he’s a loser and you aren’t. Do you work for Walmart?

I won’t say a word, I’ve suspected this for some time anyway!

My husband has that problem with one of his supervisors he told her to hit the clock the other day and it scared her into getting her people to work and getting the job done.
