Update on Saturday and goin to bed

Just got home from hanging out with Ember and Sammie and assorted other folks. I actually hooked up with them right after I posted Saturday’s entry, and we spent the rest of the day together. The wind died down some and we did walk down to the tree lighting, but only to snag some of the terrific mugs the bank was giving away. We went back home after getting our goodies to start working on dinner.

Amanda S. called while we were doing that and we invited her over too. Amanda and I ended up walking to the best place in town to see the tree lighting (Ember and Sammie stayed at home, they just wanted mugs) and when we got there we were told to leave because apparently that’s where the fireworks come from for this thing. So we walked about a hundred or so feet further down the road to find another spot, and we were able to see just fine.

Some more folks joined us for dinner, and then after a pleasant chat time we ended up dispersing around 23:50 or so. Amanda actually left around 23:30 because she was tired and had farther to drive. I’d have let her stay at my place, but I think she misunderstood last time I offered and I didn’t want to do anything to screw things up.

I just realized that except for Sammie and Amanda all my Christmas shopping is done. I have to make two batches of fudge to split up, and I have to decide if Amanda gets the blanket or just fudge. I need to look at my finances and decide pretty quick about that I guess.
