Tornado Watch

Yeah, that’s the big thing going on right now. Somehow all the badness has so far missed me completely, not that I’m complaining, it just looks weird when you map it out.

The greatest chance for tornadoes in my area is from after dark until around 0300 or so. Gonna be a tough time sleeping tonight I guess.

I turned the rental in, Critter came and picked me up. She wanted to stay but her mom was being silly. She (Critter’s mom) was supposed to be watching the kids at Critter’s house, but she never came by to get a key. Then Critter gets a call at work wondering why she didn’t leave the doors unlocked. Really? According to Critter her mom (who lives way out in the boonies on several acres of land) won’t even leave her doors unlocked while she’s actually in the house, much less when she’s away at work. Critter doesn’t live on a main road, but it does have fairly steady traffic, so why would she leave her doors unlocked? Crazy.

Hopefully by the time I need to pick up another car (Friday) the insurance company and the shop will have a good idea as to how long I’ll need it and I can get a long-term rental from Enterprise. They’ll only reimburse me for $20/day, which is ludicrously low, but with a long-term rental the rate averages out to around $25/day, and I can eat the extra five or so bucks.

Almost got one of the crows today but missed low, I must be doing something wrong with the sight picture (or the crow was already moving when I put the gun to my shoulder). However there is now a bare branch there where there was a clump of leaves. That’ll teach those leaves to sass me…
