Things that changed

So much has changed in the past year. This time last year I was just coming out of a ten year long depression. I was just taking over the Toy department in my old store, and I had just met Ember. I hadn’t had a girlfriend in longer than I care to admit, and there were no prospects on the horizon.

Now I’m in a phenomenal relationship with Critter, Ember is my best friend, and I’ve made other friends too. I’ve been promoted, something I thought would never happen. I’ve reconnected with Thumper, who’s engaged now to Captain Brian, something else I thought would never happen.

I’ve known the wind so cold, and seen the darkest days.
