There’s SNOW on my truck and House spoilers
OK, so like I said, there’s snow on my truck. What the hell? I"m not in *extreme* north Georgia and I’m not at a "higher" elevation (about 1600ft ASL where I am) so why is there snow on my truck? Right now it isn’t sticking to anything else, so I’ll probably have to go to work in the morning.
The guy at the Ford place was booked solid, couldn’t even get me hooked up to the big diagnostic computer, but he took a handheld unit out and confirmed that the alternator is not charging like it should (it’s putting out about 12.5V and it should be putting out between 15V and 17V) so I need a new one. I asked if he could tell if it was the whole alternator or was there something they could replace inside of it, and he said hardly anyone rebuilds alternators anymore, it’s just as easy and not much more expensive to replace the whole thing, especially on this particular engine since it’s right on top. All they have to do is take the air filter ducting off and it’s right there, pretty as can be. I asked if he had anything open for my next weekday off and he said it wouldn’t last that long, it would have eaten the battery before then despite my efforts at keeping it charged. Maybe if I bought ten more solar panels…
Ok, I think I’m far enough down so I don’t accidentally spoil someone on the front page, so on to House.
What the hell? I mean really, it’s tragic when anyone commits suicide, and they handled it really well I think, but the way Fox is carrying on you’d think the actor himself had died, but I checked the IMdB and EW and he hasn’t. So why does FOX have a memorial page set up for the character? I think Det. Lennie Briscoe was a much more memorable character than Dr. Kutner and NBC didn’t do all of this, and Jerry Orbach actually died. Go figure. If it’s supposed to be some sort of national exercise in sharing grief then they seriously need to get over themselves. I liked the blurb at the end with the numbers to call if you were feeling suicidal and another number if you just had general mental health questions. I think it would have been better delivered if one of the actors had made an appearance and spoken the information. Oh well. It’s not like FOX cares what I think.
And just in case anyone needs them:
