The Great Blizzard of ’09

And that’s pronounced ‘aught-nine. Do it right dang it!

My store was busy busy busy, but we were keeping up. We were up against humongous sales for last year, not sure what the hell was going on then but we’ll make those sales pretty easily, and unless it slowed down a lot after I left we’ll probably beat them, which is good.

It seems the weather folks blew it, at least a little. People down in the valley where the store is were told to expect at least two inches of snow on the ground when they woke up. It was fifty degrees out when I left at 1945, I’m thinking it’s not happening. In my climb up the mountain to where I live the temperature dropped a staggering, wait for it, two degrees. Wow. I’m all a tremble. Of course I’m told the day before the Great Blizzard of ’93 the high was in the seventies. Whatever. I got my pizza, coke, and Chef Boyardee in the pantry so I’m good.

Been on Facebook for about an hour.

I’ve got nothing else right now. Kinda tired. Kind bored. Probably gonna watch some TV and fall asleep. Got the next two days off so I have to run up to my folks’ place to sort their mail for forwarding to Seattle and do my whites.

Night all!
