The Changeover
OK, last year the changeover sucked. Seriously sucked. This year I was very happy that I didn’t have to deal with it, all I had to do was work the trucks.
So opening time rolls around, Senior Manager walks in, the changeover isn’t done. Suddenly he’s asking *me* why. Uh, I don’t know, maybe you should ask one of the three managers in charge of it? So I had to pick up their slack (and in all fairness only one of the managers actually screwed up, the other one just didn’t have enough people even after I sent two over to help). Yay ToyMan.
To cap it all off the manager that screwed up was a trainee with Mego, so he’s been a manager seven or eight months longer than I have and this was his *third* Christmas as a manager so what the hell?
I left the lights from the time I got home on Christmas Eve until just now, when I put them back on the timer. It’s a ToyMan family tradition my dad started a long time ago. I guess it’s so Santa knows to stop by.
Ok, that’s it. Gonna go. Finishing up an old NCIS on the TiVo then I’m off to bed.
