Something’s changed

I don’t remember my dreams from last night, but I’m sure they were good. Got a haircut today and bought some accessories for my phone and network. That’s about the extent of the excitement. Critter likes the haircut; I guess it’s been a while since I’ve paid any attention to it.

I know Critter is having doubts about things, but I don’t have an overwhelming urge to either comfort or rescue her; something’s changed. I guess that’s a good thing, right?

Got a funky e-mail from Amazon.com, said they coldn’t process my card. Always wary of phishers I closed my e-mail program and went to Amazon from the link in my browser’s bookmarks and sure enough it’s real. I popped over to my bank’s website, thinking maybe I had missed something and I didn’t have the money, but no, I have plenty. Not sure what’s going on, it’s only $25 (a DVD and a Wii USB-Ethernet adapter) but I pushed the “Re-try Payment” button so maybe it was just a glitch.

So Nala and I are going to exchange pictures today sometime. One of her friends was astonished she didn’t know what I looked like, and Nala replied with, “does it matter?” Go Nala! It never even occurred to me to ask what she looked like either. For some reason I’m picturing her as having blonde or light brown hair, but I don’t know why, and if it’s purple streaked with green it really doesn’t matter to me. That actually might make my friends take to her that much faster, come to think of it… 😉

It’s so weird to be able to go to bed tonight and get up and go to work while the sun is shining. And there’s a good chance I’ll be home before the sun sets. Dayshift is great.

I’m assuming that the site is slow today because everyone is trying out the new features and setting up their groups and so forth in their Friends and Bookmarks lists. If it stays this way I’m gonna be disappointed. I do like that they are trying to find a way to let us update from mobile devices for the next release. That will be cool. So I’m putting off the purchase of an iPod Touch (I’ve already got a Treo 680, I don’t need an iPhone) until that release is published since that’s really the major thing I want to be able to do. I’m sure I could find other things, but I’m doing without them now, so I can do without a little longer right?

I turned my ring around yesterday. Possibly premature since Nala and I haven’t met yet but I’ve got a good feeling about this. Critter offered to loan me gas money to drive down there next weekend, but I declined, at least for now. I may change my mind though. I did extend an offer to Nala to come up here though. I’ve got Friday/Sunday/Monday off and I work 0700-1700 on Saturday so that leaves plenty of time for us to do things together if she wants to come up.

I think I’m leaving something out, but I’ll get it in later if it’s important.

I really want a pizza, but I keep forgetting to order one when I’m in town. Weird.

That wasn’t it, by the way.
