SNOW! [Images included]

SNOW! YAY! Ywo inches down and more falling even as I type! OK, some of you are saying “big deal” but that’s a lot for us. I’m stuck at home, and so are Ember and Dirty Girl. Ember’s sick too, possibly strep throat, same as DG’s son, so she went back to bed. She says she might come out later and build a teeny snowman.

DG is stuck at home with the two kids, both of whom are sick. I wish I could get over there to her to keep her company but if I could get to her I could get to work. Somehow I doubt the Toy Department is going to be overrun with customers today though. Sporting Goods, Hardware, and Garden Center probably. Food too, but not Toys. Sporting Goods has the little 2lb propane bottles you use with Coleman accessories, and Garden Center has the big 20lb cylinders for grills and larger heaters. Hardware sells the large heaters for use with the 20lb propane cylinders, and of course food is self-evident.

Wow that’s alot of snow. We didn’t get any today. Unless it melted by the time I got up (9 am so we probably didn’t get any. We haven’t had a REAL snow yet this year. Just less than an inch of the water stuff that melts by noon.

Did they close down the schools too? Here, unless it’s blowing too (which can “snow” the road closed in a matter of minutes) nothing stops. The snow gets over the fenceposts here sometimes. Last year they only had two snow days and so much came down at once that they had to pile it in long, high strips in the middle of the roads of town. The strips were higher than I am tall (not that that’s saying much…lol). We’re used to this. However, when I go to the city, they are NOT used to it there and even a little snow will bring everything to a halt because they simply don’t have the equipment to clear it very fast and people there don’t have to buy snow tires or stuff like that. It looks so pretty to me but I’m weary of it too. I hope yours doesn’t stay long unless you want it to.
