Ramblings and nudity

I’m so proud of myself. I resisted going into town all day yesterday and I really wanted some Taco Bell. However, it’s a twenty-mile round trip so the taco salad really wouldn’t have been worth it. I also have managed to spend about thirty-six of the past forty-eight hours nude with at least thirty of it being contiguous. Cool. I like my new place. I can have the doors open and listen to the rain and still be nude and not have to worry about bothering my neighbors.

I did go into town today though. Critter called and wanted to go to lunch together so I said sure. We had sushi and fried rice and talked about GR some. I also got some of the shopping I was planning on doing tomorrow done so I’ll have that much less to forget while my car is in the shop. Not sure if I mentioned that I’m getting my window fixed tomorrow, so I won’t have a “weather seat” anymore. What’s a weather seat? It works like this: if the seat is wet, it’s raining; if the seat is cold, it’s cold; if the seat has snow on it, it’s snowing; if the seat is really hot, the truck’s on fire, get out.

When I drop the truck off in the morning and find out how long it’s going to be I’m supposed to call Critter so we can hang out some. She’s off from work and I’ll be in town anyway so it seems like a good idea. It was her idea actually. I think she wants to hang out and talk about GR some more, and I’m fine with that.

If I’m getting a bonus this year, and there is some confusion on that, it’ll be deposited tomorrow morning with my normal check. That will make it SO much easier to pay for the window getting fixed and a few other small things that I don’t really need but I’m going to buy anyway. I do need to buy some more shirts, ties, and slacks, but I think I’ll just get shirts and ties that will go with khaki pants for now and hold off on the slacks. I’m starting to lose weight again and I don’t want to have to spend money on either alterations or new pants anytime soon. There’s also an outdoor fireplace at Lowe’s that I have fallen in love with and a few DVD’s I want. I might buy a Blu-Ray player too so I can start buying stuff on Blu-Ray discs instead of normal DVD’s. It’ll save me replacing them later. Of course I’ll have to re-arrange my entertainment center to get the new component in, and I don’t even have an HDTV yet, so I’m not sure that would make much sense, but you never know.

My UPS’s saved me twice today, so I guess they’ve paid for themselves just from the frustration they’ve saved me. Both time the power flickered the TiVo was recording something, and the second time it flickered I was in the middle of a hot synch. For those of you who have never owned a Palm device I have to tell you stopping a hot synch incorrectly causes all kinds of badness. Anyway, everything is cool, and I’m off to sleep. Got to be at the Ford place at 0800.
