Had a pretty good night last night. There was one department that didn’t get finished but my primary stocker for that department called in and my backup just got fired so I had my third string stocker in there alone and she was just overwhelmed. If Queeg had been in today I’d still be there fixing it.

Our security folks busted a long-term thief this morning, it just so happens he was one of our stockers. We’ve known about him, but we (management) could never catch him, regular hourly statements carried no weight with security, and security never would work overnight to get him. We finally got security to work overnight and they had a case inside of two hours, and we nabbed him at the end of his shift. He blamed it on us, said we should have given him more hours. Idiot. He was only working twenty hours a week and always had the same days off, getting another job should have been pretty easy, even if it was only at a fast food place. So anyway, right before the nice police officer slapped the cuffs on him we had him sign the form to discontinue his employment. In other words we canned his ass.
