Got cornered in the office today by Facility Manager and Senior Manager Who Shouldn’t Be. Someone is trying to stir up some crap about TreeSap & me. I lose my job and *all* the secrets come out. It won’t be pretty.

Ok, so here’s the deal: someone is accusing me of favoritism when it comes to the schedules. How the hell can I be? We need two hourly managers on the overnight shift every night. One of them is completely unavailable on Sunday and Monday, TreeSap is completely unavailable Friday/Saturday. the other one is fully available and ends up with Tuesday/Wednesday off every week. I did not sign those availability changes, I did not recommend those availability changes, when they got promoted all three of them were fully available.
So someone is trying to start trouble because "I give" TreeSap "every weekend" off. Screw them, she works one weekend night a week. Besides that, I rarely have to touch that schedule: the shifts fall in such a way that the computer usually gets it right the first time. So I’m going to start printing a draft schedule before I even look at it on the screen, and I’m going to keep them in a file to cover my ass.
They are also going on about how we are "always" calling and texting each other. Horsepucky. The last time I got a text from her was eight or ten days ago, and it was nothing to do with work. We were averaging about one text every six to ten days.
Even though I really don’t think we’ve done anything wrong, I gave her a call on the way home and asked her to purge her call records and delete any copies of any text or MMS messages she has sent me. And they weren’t like "Oh ToyMan do me now!" kinds of things, they were usually slightly off-color jokes she thought I’d find amusing. And she was normally right…
I don’t want to give them anything to latch on to. All it would take is one text with her asking "am I in at 2000 or 2100 tonight?" and district HR will just assume we’ve been screwing like bunnies on the registers when no one was looking. I really hate stupidity like this.
