OK, so I did an entry

Had an OK day at work today. I ran around before lunch straightening out the “Trinkets and Trash” wall (my dollar and under toys) and my generic toys wall. It’s actually the same wall, but there’s a door, so we call it two separate walls. I pulled every blasted “Baby Alive” doll I could find out of the stockroom and people were buying them faster than I could put them out. The computer says I have more but I have no idea where they are, they arent’ logged into a rack or anything so I have to look everywhere. Well, let me rephrase: I have four that aren’t going anywhere. Ever. It’s a demographics thing. So I use them to plug the hole on the shelf so no one puts something else there, and when I find more of the others I’ll swap them back out.

After lunch I spent the rest of the day getting things ready for Friday. My managers want everything out of the shipping boxes and “sell ready” on the pallets so we can just drag them out and run. It’s going to be a madhouse; I know it. Last year a guy was pulling a pallet of televisions out of the stockroom and before he could even get to home electronics the pallet was empty. Yes, people took televisions off a moving pallet. They get crazy this time of year.

After Friday I’m probably going to wish I was workinf fast food again.
