Ok, maybe that hard drive wasn’t a good idea

My TiVo HD has started to randomly reboot. Not good. I checked the support website, and it said if I have a DVR Expander attached and this happens just call them. Crap. I’ve got it running the built-in diagnostics now (I started those prior to calling tech support) and they sounded surprised I’d actually followed the instructions on the web site and told me to call back when the tests were complete. They gave me a case number and all. They wouldn’t tell me what to do if everything came up green. I asked if I should try swapping eSATA cables if all the tests came up ok and they insisted that I call back and they’d help me troubleshoot, even though they said at the start of the call that there really isn’t any way to troubleshoot a random reboot issue. Dipwads.

I just saw on Dobby’s Facebook profile that she was born ten days after I graduated high school. That is so not helping. Why is it that I don’t know any people my own age? Whatever.

Had sushi with my dad today, that was good. I asked him (since he’s in the pro audio business) if he knew anyone that I could pay to have custom length A/V cables made for me. He said no. I really don’t like burning my fingers but if I have to make them myself I will, I’m tired of the CableMonster that lives in my entertainment center. Every time I go to add or move something in the stack I feel like I’m starting a Boss Battle and I usually end up losing…

I checked prices on pre-cut stringers for Critter’s stairs and they are only eight or so dollars each, so yay. I’ll have to check how deep footers have to be up here, I’m thinking a foot or so should be fine. That’s part of the problem with them now – poor drainage coupled with wood on dirt and you get rot. I think there were rocks or paving stones under there at some point but they are gone now. I saw a product on television that I’d like to use to make sure I get a proper footing in. It’s called the Bigfoot System, and it’s really easy to use. Pretty much you just dig a hole, make sure the tube is true, and fill it with concrete. Bam, done.

I’m watching something about the fourth pyramid at Giza right now, seems a little strange that it would have been destroyed just because the guy was a jerk. I’d think it would take as much effort to destroy one as it took to build it.

I am so sick of BP flailing around like a bunch of idiots, let’s just dig a hole and nuke the damn thing.
