No snow yet…

…but maybe tonight. I saw three whole flakes on the way home. Really I did.

Misty said she was just really excited about having finally gotten a tattoo since she used to be deathly afraid of needles. I didn’t mention that she could have gotten us both fired if the wrong people had seen her do that.

It turns out that the friend in the wreck had an extra car, so that won’t be a problem. It’s just the extra car gets the worst mileage of the bunch.

I’ve lost my groove at work. I don’t know what’s going on. My boss has even noticed. Maybe I just can’t function without the constant go-go-go-go of the holiday season. Or it could be we’ve been running all out since we got there and I’m just not used to "normal".

When we got there the store was being refurbished, so of course it had been torn completely apart and was a wreck. As soon as we got that finished we immediately started our countdown to inventory (which we were ten days late starting). As soon as the inventory was over, we lost two managers at my level and I had to puck up a really big extra area. Then we lost two-thirds of the upper management in the store and we were running as best we could with what we had. We finally replaced all the missing managers and slammed straight into the October/November/December retail hell. Maybe I’m an action junkie. That’s going to be rough to get over if that’s the case.
