Napleon is dead…

Not exactly news mind you, but I’m watching some sort of special investigating whether Napoleon Bonaparte was murdered in his exile on St. Helena.

Got signed up for a cake decorating class (the first one) at the local Hobby Lobby. It should help with work; I find it hard to believe that it takes someone who has been doing this for eight or ten years an hour to decorate a simple half-sheet cake. Company standard is five cakes an hour (just simple ones, not wedding cakes or anything complicated) but I’d be happy with four. I’ve told them I’m registered for the class, and why, and already production has increased to two cakes in ninety minutes and I haven’t been to the first class yet. Ding-dongs. It’s the Wilton Decorating Basics Course, it’s supposed to be pretty good. It’s also the only option I have in the area other than quitting my job and spending several years working my way through the program at the Culinary Institute of America, which would defeat the purpose of helping me do my job better, lol.

Almost went to WaHo last night around 0200 with Dobby and Critter, but Dobby got distracted and Critter ended up making chili-cheese tater tots. We might be going tonight, but at a more reasonable hour, say between 2000 and 2200.

Sent my e-update off to Thumper and got a reply, had to send a follow-up to clarify a few things. She’s not with her Air Force Captain anymore. She left him over something stupid he did. He didn’t hit her or cheat on her or anything, he just demonstrated in no uncertain terms that he didn’t trust her when she’d given him no reason not to. Ass munch. Excuse me, Captain Ass munch. Major-select now evidently. Quite an achievement for someone who was a Master Sergeant entering OTS just eight years ago.

Been busy, and tired, and I need to go get a haircut now. I’ll be back later tonight or tomorrow with a better update.

Oh yeah, the inventory for my problem department came out ok. Considering the massive over-count the month before the result we got was really good, but last month’s did negatively impact it. Next month will be fine though.
