[M] What the crap!

What is it with my store? I got a radio call from another manager to come to the personnel office, and when I walked in the only person there was the district HR rep. Crap. The last time that happened two managers lost their jobs…

At any rate, it seems I was the only person in the building that didn’t know there was an investigation going on. Seems like one of the overnight managers is requiring people to stay past the end of their shift and then making them take long lunches to take the overtime off. That’s totally not what the policy is. The policy is they are supposed to leave on time, period, but if they do happen to work a little over by accident they are supposed to take *that* time off. If we ask or require that they stay then they are supposed to keep the time. From the way the HR rep worded what the overnight hourlies had told her it’s probably Blondie, the nit. There are also accusations of a hostile work environment, people in fear of their jobs, blah blah blah. I admit Senior Manager Who Shouldn’t Be used to be a holy terror, but since my last encounter with her where I was able to show her she was over reacting while she was doing it I haven’t noticed any problems.
