I have been evaluated…

I just can’t believe this. Honestly I can’t. After making me question not only my fitness to be a manager at her store but my worthiness to even shop there, she rates me at a solid three out of five and qualifies it with an "almost promotable, but not quite yet" tag. She says I could be ready to promote in as little as six months or as much as two years, it just depends on how hard I work on developing my weak areas, which in truth were weak areas the whole team shared since they were district level goals that weren’t communicated clearly until the eval period was over, and gaining ground on my strengths.

What the hell?

She had no idea how much of a raise I was getting, but reiterated that it was already in effect and I could see my check stub online the Saturday of payday week and I could figure it out from there.

Going to sleep now, I’ve got to take a nap before I go get a second opinion on my ADHD. I figure if I’m tired from being up for fifteen hours when I go to the appointment I won’t manifest properly and might not get the medication my therapist says will help me out. At this point I’ll try anything even if it means adding another daily To-Do to my list to remind me to take that pill too.

Night!

Well geez that was a luke warm eval!!!!

My manager gives all 3’s each and every year, unless the employees works is totally unacceptable. Really gives us no incentive to work harder. She says if they give us higher scores then they are forced to give larger raises. I was shocked when I first heard this, till I saw others evals last year.
