I am soooo tired!

Ok, twelve hours shifts suck. I worked from 2000 Saturday night to 0800 Sunday morning, so my day off (Sunday) was spent sleeping since I had to be back in at 0700 this morning. Yay!

The good news is that I got another few items signed off in my book (I swear it’s like I’m in Boy Scouts again) so there!

We have a new overnight manager at the store, he’s cool. He did have a rough first night though; the truck got there at about 0200 instead of 2200 so we obviously got a late start. To add to that there were nineteen pallets of freight on it. Yikes! We did manage to bust butt and we only sent four pallets back to the stockroom. Yay us! Yay the normal night crew for putting up with us!

One of the trainees in my group has a serious lack of understanding of basic math. He is insisting that we all have to work nine hours a day for the rest of the week to make up the time we’ve missed. I don’t get it. I worked eleven hours Saturday night, and get Sunday and Thursday off. He worked eleven hours Sunday night, and got Saturday and Monday off. The way I figure it we’re all three hours over and should be taking time off, but he insists he’s right. Try it my way: 11+7+7+7+8=40. Am I right or has calculus taken a toll on my arithmetic skills? The way he wants to do it is: 11+9+9+9+8=40.

Whatever.

Also some of the folks in my group have been complaining that the other group has been leaving us out of things and getting special attention. Last Thursday when I went to do a check-off thing with the other group, I made sure the rest of my group knew about it. None of them showed up. Later that day I asked them why, and they told me they’d already done that activity. Without me. And they were fussing at the other group when they can’t even make sure all of their OWN group goes to stuff. Dorks.
