Good Day, Stupid People, and Dinner

Today was a pretty good day. I’ve still got my job, by the way. I should have mentioned that before. Everyone is pretending Thursday didn’t happen, it’s one of those things.

Had a stupid customer first thing today. She was asking about something I’d never seen in my department and I asked her if she was sure she’d been in my store when she saw it. Perfectly reasonable question, I spent most of Monday explaining to people that a sale paper with “Toys R Us Exclusive” next to the item meant that they couldn’t buy it at my store. At any rate, she said she was sure so I started to look for the item. We found it. It was on an overhead, and there were only two of them. Also, it wasn’t anything I’d ever carried before, so how was I supposed to know I had it?

She went to my manager and told her that I’d called her “crazy” and “stupid” and other stupid stuff. Whatever. My manager let her leave and asked what happened and I told her. End of story.

Had dinner with Ember and Sammie. That’s pretty much all I’ve got right now.
