Follow Up and Sick Day

The person we had on the switchboard had no idea what line the call came in on because she wasn’t paying attention. She also doesn’t have any clue about the *69 backtracking feature built into every touch-tone phone line in America now, so we have no leads and no prospect of any related to where the threat came from or who made it.

Now on to the sick day part. I woke up around four or five yesterday afternoon with terrible stomach cramps. I barely made it to the restroom before the nasty bad thing happened. Shortly after that I had to run outside to puke. Then back to the potty.

I managed to get back to sleep, but about forty-five minutes later the same thing starts over. I had to call in sick, which was really nasty because it was a scheduled alone night for me. Much wailing an gnashing of teeth later it’s decided that one of the senior managers is going to have to do a twenty-four hour shift. No one seems to be angry with me, I haven’t missed a day of work since my leave, so I’m pretty shure they beleived me when I told them I had massive stomach cramps and stuff coming out both ends.
