Everyone is scrubbed and tubbed and adequately fed

Well, Critter and the kids just left. They were originally going to leave from here right after she got off work and head off to another friend’s house for dinner but that got cancelled. Since I had originally planned on feeding the kids anyway I just whipped up the Hamburger Helper and we had dinner here. The portions were a little small since I had only planned on feeding the kids and ended up feeding Critter and myself as well but it was OK. I seriously doubt the two older kids were anywhere near as hungry as they thought they were (they way they were on about it you’d think they hadn’t eaten in a week) and K left food on her plate.

All around we had a good day. K was a little angel all day and even managed an hour-long nap after we got back from lunch and visiting Critter at work. D & B were fine until it came time to go home and they didn’t. They got a little cranky but it’s understandable; they were expecting to leave around 1900 and didn’t get out of here until 2130. Of course once they get home they’ll probably complain about having to go to bed, but what else can you expect, they’re kids. I figure K will be asleep before they even get home and it’s only five miles.

I kind of wish they could have stayed, but it would have meant D would have to sleep on the airbed and B & K would have to share the queen size bed in the second bedroom. Critter and I would have been in my room of course. We’ve proved to ourselves that we can behave so it shouldn’t be a problem should it come up in the future.

I’m a little tired, but I’ve got to stay up for a bit so I can sleep all day tomorrow and be back in sync with my work schedule tomorrow night.

The Incredibles is on The Disney Channel right now, I’m going to go catch the last few minutes. It’s a good movie, I have it on DVD but still…
