ER – Series Finale

Yeah, I was right, they didn’t screw it up. My local television station did though. In several spots in the second hour the dialog track dropped out and left only the effects tracks coming through. It would seem they were having a problem with the center channel on the 5.1 mix. I’ve set the TiVo to record the replay on Saturday at "Highest Quality" so I can dump it to a DVD. I normally record at "Basic Quality" so I have more room, and honestly, unless it’s a show heavy on visual effects it’s hard to tell the difference, at least on my TV.

It was really good. I’m glad it ended this way, going out on a high note. Most of the original cast made appearances, and even "Dr." Greene was there, but not the way you think. You’ll have to watch it for yourself to see.

Saw TreeSap in the store today. She looked miserable. She’s got yet another appointment with her OB early next week, then they’ll officially decide, but I’m pretty sure how this is going to play out. I was standing next to our only remaining Senior Manager and she was with someone (not the boyfriend) so there wasn’t a whole lot that could be said. The boyfriend was not at work today, but it was for reasons not relating to her situation, so I don’t know how he’s taking it, or even if their relationship is going to survive this. She was talking to me a few days ago about how annoying he can be and that sometimes he just won’t shut up. I just laughed and told her that I’d tried to warn her. She mentioned then that she wasn’t sure how much longer she could put up with it. I told her she’d have to put up with it for at least the next eighteen years now, and we both laughed a little. She said that was different, she’d be able to do the "baby swap" on the weekends but she wouldn’t have to live with him. Things seemed so normal then, just five or six days ago. How quickly things can change.

Guess I need to back up and read a few past entries. I think I missed something
