Doctors, Blood, and Lunch

I went to the doctor today to get my yearly blood work done so I can see if my meds are going to make my liver or kidneys explode. That would be inconvenient at best.

Had lunch with Critter and the baby today. The baby (K) has been kind of sick and she’s just starting to feel better. We went to Sonic. The three of us watched Chasing Amy at my place last night. Critter and I were snuggling on the couch and K climbed up in our laps. It was good. It felt comfortable. It felt right. It’s not like it was with DG’s kids.

When I was at the doctor I got another test done as well. This is the test that’ll let Critter and me decide about the next step in our relationship. OK, we’ve pretty well decided to take the step, this just lets us know if I’ve got anything unpleasant stirring in my system and what precautions we may need to take. We aren’t really worried, since the only person I could have caught anything from was DG, and the only thing that wouldn’t have already presented is really hard to transmit female to male, but I got tested anyway. I should know pretty soon. Critter says she’s got our first time all planned out, and said something about lots of candles. She was excited when I told her we may know as soon as tomorrow afternoon, and seemed even more excited that we get paid tomorrow so she can buy the candles if we need them. I’m just going to let her run this, she seems so happy about it.
