Didn’t get it

We didn’t get the apartment. It was gone by the time we had the money. I’m disappointed but we’ve got the money set aside now and I’m also putting everything I can spare from every check into the pot so next time we’ll be ready.

Last night was going to be our first night together in a week. I haven’t gotten to see her much while she was on overnights. Pretty much as soon as I walked in the door she was walking out, and when she got home she went straight to bed after getting the kids off to school and I had to hit the shower and dash off to work myself. I don’t think we had plans to do anything but snuggle but I went to bed around midnight while she was watching a movie, and then she fell asleep on the couch. K woke us both up around 02:30 and would NOT go back to sleep. She didn’t even have a wet diaper, she just woke up and momma wasn’t there and that was unacceptable. Critter and K ended up sleeping on the couch together because it was the only way K would go back to sleep.

Things feel off kilter, and I’m a little worried, but I think last night we were both just really tired. She’s not on the schedule this week and I’m on vacation, so maybe we can get back in the grove while the kids are at school.

My laundry is almost done, so I’m going to go and load the car to head back home.
