Did it…

I dropped it off at her place. I also stopped on the way home and got something for D I know he’ll like: Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance. He loved it when they lived with me, but it wasn’t really age appropriate and I didn’t like the way he behaved when he played it. I don’t think Critter agreed with me not allowing him to play it, but it was my game, my console, my house. I was just doing what I thought was best for him. Maybe I overstepped, but I was step-father-to-be at that point and thought it was my responsibility. At any rate, that was almost two years ago, so he’s older, and I hope better able to enjoy the game without going nuts.

So when I pull up there’s a brand new car sitting in the driveway. I sent her a text saying "Nice car, whose is it?" she replied a bit later with "OtherGuy’s".

I couldn’t help myself at this point, "But he can’t afford a lawnmower… Oh well. I left something for D & you on the porch table."

I haven’t heard back yet, which may just mean she hasn’t had a chance to read and reply or she’s read it and is pissed at me for pointing out the obvious. I fully expect a phone call when she reads the letter, but I won’t be surprised if she just walks away. I’ll be dissapointed, but not really surprised.

I still get really upset, to the point of having trouble breathing, when I think about the kids. I hate this. I hate that Critter has to have the "divorce talk" with the kids because of me.

Damn. This totally sucks.
