Christmas shopping, buddy time, and snow

Work today was a little, well, crappy. The best part of the day was after work when I got to spend some time with Ember. We did some shopping and she bought a bunch of Christmas presents. I bought a bunch myself when I was on lunch, I got my two older nephews plug-and-play video games, I got my youngest nephew Diego’s Talking Rescue Radio, and I got my niece Baby’s First Orchestra from Fisher Price.

I got Ember’s present too, but I can’t say what that is here cause it’ll ruin the surprise. I saw some stuff that would make good stocking stuffers for her that I might get later. I gotta get something for Sammie. The parents, sister and brother-in-law are getting Amazon.com (or maybe Wal-Mart) gift certificates. I’ve got one other present on layaway that I might not be able to afford, so I’m not sure if Amanda S gets the present on layaway or just fudge. My fudge is really good, mind you, but I’d rather give her the other thing. It’s a nice blanket. I’ve got one (which I bought because I liked Ember’s) and Amanda really liked it when she used it to cover up on the couch one day when we were watching movies. Anyway, it’s a little pricey, so I’m not sure yet if I can afford to get it for her.

That’s all for now. We might get snow flurries tonight with some actual accumulation in the higher elevations. There may even be snow at our elevation (around 1800 ft) on Monday. Yipee!

I can’t go to work if it snows because Ember isn’t going (she really loves snow) and is going to say the road is blocked. Since we both live in the same complex it would be bad if I showed up when the road was “blocked”.
