Christmas and the weather

I put some of my Christmas decorations up today. I’m a week early according to my normal routine, but I couldn’t resist the urge anymore. I’ve got the tree and some of my outside lights up as well as the wreath on my door. The lights and tree are on a timer, so I don’t have to worry about turning them on and off every day.

Amanda S. is moving away. Not far, but she’s changing jobs too, so I won’t see her nearly as much as I do now. I should have seen it coming; it’s the way things happen to me. We’ve known each other for just over two years but we’ve really only become close friends since I left for the project. I think it was one of those things where we didn’t realize how much we’d miss each other if we weren’t always there. Anyway, it always seems that when I do finally open up and make friends they leave. I suppose I’ll get over it. She’ll only be an hour or so away so maybe we can visit occasionally.

Today was a stormy rainy mess. I really liked it. It was the kind of day when you want to be curled up under a blanket sleeping or on the front porch reading your favorite book.

I had a plan for work today. I was actually going to be effective and get some work done. Well when the managers found out they just couldn’t have that so I got sent to another department to do work on some displays for yet another department. Oh well. Oh, and the warehouse called and said they’d lost a pallet and did I have it? I laughed in their faces and told them to call back in February when I’d have time to look for them.

Turns out I did have it, so they fixed the paperwork.

Bored now…..
