Back from the wedding

Just got back from the wedding. It was beautiful. I don’t know that I would have gone with those colors but hey, it wasn’t *my* wedding.

The groom entered to "The Imperial March (Darth Vader’s Theme)" from The Empire Strikes Back, the flower girls and ring bearer entered to "Parade of the Ewoks" from Return of the Jedi, and the groom’s men and bride’s maids entered, already coupled oddly enough, to "Wedding Announcement" from Disney’s The Little Mermaid. They used "Happy Ending", also from The Little Mermaid, as the recessional.

The bride’s cake had Ariel and Eric on top of it, and the groom’s cake had Luke and Leia figures in the "swing across the bridge" pose on it. When she first told me, several weeks ago, what the groom’s cake was going to look like, I asked her if she knew Luke & Leia were brother and sister and she said yes but they couldn’t find a Han Solo/Leia figure combination in a suitable pose. Then she said I had a dirty mind…

That’s all I have for now. Lunch got canceled, so as of right now I’ve been Critter free for forty-five minutes. I’ve still got to brace her steps but I won’t see her or the kids so I don’t really count that. I’m on my way to get lunch and a couple of things in town and I’ll stop on the way back and get the steps.
