Back from Breakfast
When I finally woke up again and checked the time it was 1000, so I grabbed my phone thinking I’d left it on vibrate and missed her call. Nope. so I sent a text asking if we were still on for breakfast, and she send one back saying she was almost ready and had K in the tub. I asked her to let me know when she would be ready enough for me to swing by and pick them up and she said she’d take her own car, which is unusual to say the least. So the wheels started turning in my brain and it was confirmed after breakfast – I didn’t get the promised wake-up call or text because she had company.
Add the fact that we’ve always taken the same car to things like this to the fact that it was 11:30 before she and K got to the restaurant and I pretty well had it figured out. I know they’re a couple and all, but we made plans, and he *knew* about the plans ahead of time. Whatever.
K was really really happy to see me again. She got this big grin on her face when she saw me through her window. I don’t know what I’ve done to make her react like that but I hope I can do it with my own when the time comes.
We talked about how we don’t get to talk much anymore, and she said she gets that from her other friends too. I guess she’s just that wrapped up in him.
She said she was sorry I was having problems, and I told her it wasn’t her fault, it was all me. I told her I’ve been having good days and bad days, and had a really bad day when she answered the phone and said she was in Gatlinburg, but she hadn’t really done anything to exacerbate the situation. I told her it would have been different if we had been all nakie and sweaty and then she rolled off me and told me she was seeing someone. That would have been all different kinds of bad. And she made an effort to let me know she was seeing someone as soon as she realized she was actually seeing someone instead of just flirting back and forth.
Just got home about twenty minutes ago. We spent three hours together over pancakes and I didn’t even realize it. I wonder if that means I’m getting better or I just don’t pay attention to anything else when I’m around her.
oh dear.
