Another rough day for the project

Hello! Had a rough day at work today. Still didn’t get my check, royally pissed about that, and I didn’t get my work done today. We had forty-five feet of counter to set today, and including myself I only had three people and it’s at least a six-person job. We managed to get twenty feet completely set and another four feet partly set. I wasn’t happy but the project people were OK with it, they said they knew I wouldn’t get it done when they gave it to me. I guess they just wanted to torture me, or something. Ember thinks it might have been their way of seeing how much I could get done with an unreasonable deadline. I think they were just using me as their little cat toy for the day. Either way, we somehow managed to get ahead on tomorrow’s work, so by the end of the day on Thursday we’ll be caught back up.

Hey, just a side note: you might want to remind Meg that any understandings we had about me creatively ignoring her nose don’t apply when I’m not there. It’s D’s department right now, and her rules are the important ones. I’d hate to Meg her get axed over an agreement I can’t currently honor. If I come back (I really want to get on with the project group) then we can go back to what she and I discussed before, but until then she has to follow the rules as D interprets them.

And I’ll be coming back regardless, that really didn’t sound right. I just may not be coming back to toys. If I get on with the project folks I’ll be back in the store in November to help out in whatever capacity they need me, but at the project pay rate. I’ll run a register all damn day for that money if they want me to.

I know you have to go to school in the morning and I hope you get plenty of rest. After school go straight home and get lots of sleep. Remember you can use my place if noise is a factor. The couch and the bed are both quite comfy. I don’t want you to think you’re imposing; I really mean it when I say these things.
